LabSmith Warranty and Return Policies

Product Warranty

One year warranty covers parts and labor and the shipping charges when LabSmith ships the unit back to the customer (domestic via UPS ground). If the customer chooses a different service (next day, 2 day, 3 day, etc) it becomes customer responsibility.
Any physical damage due to the lack of proper packing or misuse of the unit will be charged to the customer and it is not covered under the warranty.


LabSmith Return Policy

LabSmith products may be returned for a full refund for any reason up to 30 days from purchase.  No refund will be tendered if products are returned to LabSmith damaged due to improper packing, tampering or misuse.

Repair Procedures

Standard procedures for sending equipment to LabSmith for repair:

  1. Request an RMA number from LabSmith
  2. Pack the device in the original packing. If original packing is no longer available,  then use at least a  1 inch thick protective material (bubbles, foam, etc.) around the unit.
  3. For the HVS448, Do not send the power, communication, or high voltage cables and  do not leave the 50 OHM terminator attached to the unit.  For the SVM340, send the camera and illuminator with the unit, but it is not necessary to send back other accessories unless they are the part being repaired.
